Description This paper aims to highlight the important role it has in the economic state of a country and thus, its contribution to maintaining low rates of unemployment in the labor market even in crisis. Since the negative effect of economic crisis or recession on the labor market is reflected in the fact that some employees left without work and result in national unemployment rate increase because of higher number of registered unemployed. Increasing the number of unemployed is explained on redundancies made by both private sector and in the state most affected areas as textile industries, chemical, mechanical and furniture. SNI results obtained using a different calculation methodology of the international show increased values overall unemployment rate and the number of unemployed since the end of 2008 as a result of the economic crisis affecting our country. Therefore, it appears that the crisis of low employment rate is the most important long-term problem of our economy. Romania should aim for 2020 to bring to fiscal work between one and two million people. Therefore, Romania needs policies that address improving incentives to increase the supply of jobs for some special categories: young, elderly and women and for achieving these objectives is necessary to implement retraining programs and increasing qualifications of older workers and the unemployed. Following increasing employment is the only sustainable solution to increase revenue (and not raising taxes) and to limit the need for internal and external loans. I believe that the Romanian economy should keep pace with changes at European and global economy through increased competitiveness, innovation and time workforce is highly qualified.
