Description บทคัดย่อบทความนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อพินิจและอธิบายแนวคิดของมิลตั้น ฟรีดแมน ในประเด็นเรื่องความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคม โดยบทความได้แบ่งเนื้อหาเป็น 3 ส่วน คือ 1) ฟรีดแมนกับทุนนิยมเสรี ที่แสดงให้ เห็นว่า การให้ความสำคัญต่อเสรีภาพทางเศรษฐกิจก่อนการเมืองนั้น ส่งผลดีต่อสังคมโดยเฉพาะตลาดเสรี 2) ความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคมของภาคธุรกิจ บทบาทของผู้บริหารด้านความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคมของภาคธุรกิจเป็นไปเพื่อการเพิ่มผลกำไรต่อผู้ถือหุ้นเท่านั้น และ 3) นำประเด็นจากข้อที่ 1) และ 2) มาสร้างเป็นโจทย์เพื่อนำไปสู่การอภิปรายถกเถียง ที่ว่า “ผู้บริหารจะสามารถมีความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคมได้อย่างไร?” คำสำคัญ  ความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคม ผู้บริหาร ผู้ถือหุ้น  ผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียAbstractThe purpose of article is to examine Milton Friedman’s ideas as foundation to understand the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR). This article is   divided into three parts. The first part concerns Friedman and liberal capitalism, which states that giving importance to economic over politics can yield good results for society, particularly free market. Second part deals with the social responsibility of the business sector where the role of executives is to merely increase profits for shareholders. In the last part the issues from the first two sections are used to pose open-ended questions on how executives could have social responsibility and are discussed.Keywords:  Corporate Social Responsibility, Executives, Shareholders, Stakeholders
