http://www.ajol.info/index.php/ajep/indexThe primary aim of this journal, an offshoot of the Trade Policy Research and Training Programme in Economics Department, University of Ibadan, is to provide a forum for development and equity on the African continent. It, therefore, welcomes well researched papers on the implications of a specific economic policy or a set of economic policies for growth, development and equity within individual African countries, group of African countries and the continent as a whole. Taking due cognizance of the fact that Africa is a member of the world community, the economic policy issues need not be limited to those undertaken within the continent. As such, articles focusing on the implications of policies undertaken by African governments (individually and/or collectively); governments of other nations (individually or collectively); multilateral institutions; multinational corporations; intergovernmental organizations; and non-governmental organizations for growth, development and equity on the African continent are cordially invited. The ultimate intention is to continuously sharpen the focus of all concerned on the efficacy of the various economic policies on the welfare of Africans regardless of who might be undertaking them.
