It welcomes papers about the Philippines and about other developing economics. It is also a forum for research findings that show the links of economics with other disciplines. The PRE is a joint publication of the UP School of Economics (UPSE) and the Philippine Economic Society (PES). Founded in 1999, The PRE is the principal journal of the economics profession in the Philippines and is indexed in the Journal of Economic Literature and EconLit. The PRE publishes both theoretical and empirical articles dealing with economic development. It welcomes papers about the Philippines and other developing economies and serves as a forum for discussions of the relationship between economics and other disciplines as these relate to development. Publication Information: The PRE (ISSN 1655-1516) is a peer-reviewed journal published every June and December of each year. A searchable database of published articles and their abstracts is available at the PRE website.
