Shirkah Journal of Economics and Business

The new invention of Islamic revivalism, such as shari’a finance, shari’a banks, and halal markets, has initiated the development of global economic advantages. Shari’a based economics could not be seen as independent variable standing on side-by-side with conventional economic system. Shirkah Journal of Economics and Business is dedicated to provide an intellectual space of scholarly discussion how the shari’a economics able to create the new global formation of economics and business. Shirkah Journal of Economics and Business is a peer-reviewed journal published three times a year (April, August and December) by Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN/State Institute for Islamic Studies) Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. Formerly, first published in 2007, Shirkah was initially published as Syirkah: Jurnal Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam, an Indonesian bi-annual journal on Islamic economics and business. Since 2016, to enlarge its scope, this journal transforms its name to Shirkah Journal of Economics and Business.Shirkah openly invites post-graduate students, academicians, and practitioners to submit their best research articles that correspond to the above topics.
