The journal is a mean of outreach to both the research developed at the Institutes and Research Centers of the University of Costa Rica and to the publication of research of national and international academics, serving as a mean of communication between researchers and so that dialogue between peers located in different latitudes on the existing knowledge in the area of economics is built. The journal uses a peer review process of "double-blind" character, which guarantees fairness in assessments.
